If so, you are not alone–around 60-70 percent of the U.S. population is overweight or obese and that includes the children. Therefore, you are part of the majority. But, do you want to be like everyone else? Did you envision your life as an overweight, out of shape, tub-o-lard who can barely get up a flight of stairs? Perhaps you were fit at one point in your life and remember how light and alive you felt; the energy inside your body could barely contain itself and you were moving around, talking to friends, running to the bus stop, skipping flights of stairs, and enjoying life. Being active and fit is like being in love–you feel overjoyed and can’t get enough of daily living. Do you want to feel that way again? You can–but you have to make changes.
Say what? I have to change? But I can’t change:
I’ve been this weight since I had my first child; or,
I’ve always been heavy because of my diabetes/depression/medications/thyroid/name-your-medical-condition; or,
I inherited this from my parents and can’t lose weight; or,
I’m not heavy, I just have big bones; or,
I’ll never be normal weight because “blah, blah, blah!”
All your excuses are bull-hocky, mule muffins, bat guano!
